Thank you are two small words that is often over used. We teach our girls to use their manners just like every parent does, but today we are using these 3 small words for bigger and better things. Not just "thank you for the milk" or "thanks for the cookie" it is more of a time to think about what we are thankful for. You know the big things, the things we feel, for the people who have walked into our lives only to teach us something, or to make us better, stronger. For the love we been given and shown, for the situations we cursed to have happen to us only to later look back and to some how hate what has happened, but in another to be thankful. This world is so crazy in the way it works, and why it works, but one thing I know for sure is everything happens for a reason, we may not understand it at the time or ever really, but I know things will always end up okay. The world hands us scary and unimaginable situations in our life, but god gives us the strength and courage to pick them up and deal with them.
Am I thankful We had a child with Downs? Absolutely. Not only has this little blonde hair, blue eyed two foot high person gives us a reason to smile everyday, but she makes us laugh, she has taught us strength we never thought we had. She has brought people in our lives I know we would have never met otherwise. People we are so thankful to have as friends. Her and her sister has given us unlimited reasons to be thankful!
Thanksgiving for us was spent with special friends who have over the years become an extension of our family. People we are so thankful for. We had a delicious dinner with turkey, gravy, veggies galore, stuffing, and then homemade apple and pumpkin pie. Yummy.
Don't get me wrong I am also thankful for everything in my life, like the food we are able to put on our table, the long naps the girls have. The full night of sleep I got last night. The days Corey's gets off work early. The visit from my brother today. I sit back and look at our life can't remember what my life was like 3 years ago. Man I must have been bored. I am so thankful for my family. I look forward to seeing what my thanks will look like next year.

Coloring.... or maybe hungry?
I am also thankful for being recognized. A letter arrived in my mailbox from my local MP. Thank you!
