Christmas Magic

26 December 2010
The weeks leading up to this one day has been pretty darn good.  I had my moments where I cursed the holidays with all this work, and craziness for ONE day?!  but I was quickly drawn back in to the magic of the holiday by the warmth and love you feel around this time of year.  Explaining to the girls about christmas and Santa.

We visited him at the mall, we see him everywhere and be sure every time we see him, I say Santa!  Ho, ho, ho.  By the end of maybe the 4th day she had it.  She knows Santa and will say ho, ho, ho.    Us parents set up gifts Christmas eve, making everything just perfect.  Being sure to drink the milk and eat the cookies, and  leave a little thank you note behind.  We had the computer set up in the living room and the video tucked away in the corner when we settled in for a restless night.  Feeling the excitement for the unsuspecting babies that slept in their cribs.
We awoke to babies calling from their beds.  rolling out of bed and rubbing our eyes we knew today was going to be great, we we're ready.  Coffee on, tape rolling we let the kids out.  Nevaeh's yells of "OH, ool"  "WOW"  was enough for me.   The smiles on the faces made all the work and all the cursing worth it. Now that the beatufully wrapped gifts have been open, slowly daily life will return.  We will enjoy the new toys and eat the delicious cookies and left over food.  But we will remember our First Christmas at home as a family.

Just Like her Mommy!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
We Love you!
