Fam·i·ly

[Melissa]

The word "fam·i·ly" Two or more people who share goals and values, have long-term commitments to one another.

A Long, Long Time Ago...

09 November 2010
Was the last time I wrote, and not just put down some words, I mean really wrote. This last week I can easly say I have been lost, my camera was left behind in our recent trip to Edmonton.  And like Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye and the rest of Andy's toys, my camera is feeling just as sad and lonely, as I.
There have been moments that I am afraid I will forget, like Maëlle crawling around the house like a mad lady on a mission, Catching Nevaeh and Maëlle under the table laughing and playing, Corey giving Nevaeh a piece of chalk to write on the new chalk wall in her baby sister's room.   Not to mention the many photo shoots I have on waiting because doing a photo shoot is much easier if you actually have a camera to shoot with.

Dear Camera,
You are so missed.  Oh how I can not wait to press my eye into you and press your magical button.  I can not wait to feel your curves and and hard cool plastic in my hands.  And view all you beautiful menus.  My love for you only grows over time and distance.
Love Melissa

This post should also be focused on the hard lesson I had to learn.  My hard drive crashed and like a naive dumb dumb, I seriously though it wouldn't happen to me.  Well I was wrong and it did happen to me.  Corey and I plugged, unplugged, ran fix it program after program.  We tapped it, and banged it, we talked to it (well I did) and yelled at it, then apologized for the harsh words that were spoken.  I prayed all night long with little sleep I pulled myself out of bed and came to the computer.  not sure what I was going to do.  My life is on that hard drive, all and I mean ALL of Maëlle's new born photos, all the pages I have completed for the girls books.  And not to mention 6 paid shoots I had to edit.  When I walked into the room Corey had this grin on his face, he DID it!  He saved my entire LIFE!  Oh how I love this man!

We have pretty much completed Maëlle's room, with the exception of the carpet, which will be done soon. The selves should go up tonight or tomorrow.  I should have photos soon!  I hope.

Halloween was awesome!  The girls were adorable.  Nevaeh ran from house to house knocking on doors while her cousin yelled "trick or treat give me something good to eat!"  It was too stinkin cute.  Nevaeh was Mickey Mouse, Maëlle was a butterfly!  The weather was perfect, and we were able to spend it with family!  It was lovely!

Well more photos to come! Once my camera arrives safe back in my hands.
